Well, here is just a quick update on all of us. This is now week 2 of no diapers for Hannah!! We are so excited that she decided that this was a pretty cool idea and to stick to it...she has been known to waver back and forth :). She has definitely taken control, however. There are many times when she runs for the potty and then stops midway there to point her finger at me and say, "Mommy you stay right there!" -- so that she can do it all by herself. If only she could reach the faucet to wash her hands she would be completely independent! Asher is about 5 1/2 months now, and gaining more personality by the day. He has really started to share his giggles with us more often- especially for Hannah. He loves to watch her....it doesn't matter what she's doing but he just thinks she's hilarious. We are already tagging him as a "Momma's Boy"-- he's fine with other people around, but one look at me and he loses it. However, there have definitely been quite a few times that he's proven me wrong with that statement, so maybe we're outgrowing it already! He is loving baby food- and now eyeing our food as well. Thankfully nowhere near crawling, but we do twist and turn and scoot leaving us in a different direction from when we started. As for us, I am leaving for a women's retreat in Aspen tomorrow. This will, surprisingly, be my first "trip" away from Hannah-- and Scott's first time to be in charge of her for an extended period of time. It is just a Fri-Sun trip and I will be taking Asher (but babies are a breeze compared to taking a toddler anywhere). It will be a good time to get refreshed and meet some of the other Young Life wives of the area. Scott is still very busy with the start up of Young Life and he/we have also been house sitting on top of that (for about 2 weeks). So, we are definitely ready for things to slow down and be "normal"....whatever that means! :)
